Everyone knows that giraffes can’t dance…or can they? Join us for an interactive storytelling experience as we look, listen, and learn in our special exhibition Striking Iron: The Art of African Blacksmiths. Children of all ages are invited to learn how Gerald the tall giraffe finds his tune and confidence just in time for the Jungle Dance in Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae (2001). Learn where giraffes live in Africa before painting your own dancing giraffe during a guided art-making workshop.
