An Introductory Corridor to the Exhibition
Urban Dakar is suggested in an introductory corridor that leads to the exhibition. Large photographic murals give a sense of the painted murals on walls of buildings and homes throughout the city. Resplendent with images of Amadu Bamba and popular heroes such as Kwame Nkrumah, Martin Luther King Jr. and Bob Marley, the murals, painted by Papisto Boy, convey from the very beginning that Bamba, the saint, is a symbol of resistance and liberation.
